26 Years Young

I’m not one to profess that I’ve got this “blog” thing down. In fact, there are quite a few other things that I know I’m better at than blogging. Gift wrapping, baking, laying on the couch, breathing. You get the idea. This is my first rodeo.

Consider this me, preparing to share my blog with the world:

But if you know me, you know I’m an “all in” kind of gal. I’m just going to do it. Going to jump in. I’m going to learn as I go and take your criticism, critiques and helpful tips. If I fail miserably, I’ll dust myself off and keep going. I’m resilient. (I’ve also asked myself, what exactly is failing? I mean, if the blog exists and no one reads it, will I really know or better yet care?)

I guess that’s it. After 26 short years here on this earth I’ve realized there are some goals that aren’t about the outcome, but rather about the journey. This is one of those for me.

This blog, this website, this adventure. It’s about the ‘how’ and the ‘why’ and not about the ‘where’ and the ‘what’. This blog is about finding my voice and figuring out how to use it best. It’s about learning WordPress and all the cool widgets and gadgets it has to offer. It’s about expanding my knowledge on digital best practices and having an online presence in a world I work deeply in.

More than anything, this is about proving to myself and to others that I can and will do anything I set my mind to. Cheers 🥂 to checking a goal off my list that’s been a few years in the making. May there be many more posts to follow!
